Facebook founder, CEO, and world’s youngest billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has recently moved out of his 2,300-square foot Palo Alto, CA apartment to rent  a 3,800 square foot 5 bedroom, 4 bath secured rental home in Palo Alto, CA.

And now his former apartment, just seven blocks away from his new rental home is up for rent, according to AOL Real Estate.

The social networking wunderkind ranks at No. 35 on the Forbes 400 list of the richest people in America, and has an estimated net worth of $7 billion. His nomadic lifestyle has left many wondering why he doesn’t use his substantial wealth to build a Bill Gates or Steve Jobs-style estate.

Whatever his reasons for remaining a renter, Zuckerberg’s rental status in California could affect his legal battle with a man who claims he is entitled to 84% of Facebook, Inc. Since Zuckerberg has remained a renter in the Golden State, the man’s lawyers have claimed New York as his true home in an attempt to have the case tried in that state.

Lawyers for the man claim Zuckerberg lives a transient life out of a duffel bag, and want the case tried in state court; Zuckerber’s legal team has responded by calling the lawsuit harassment and a fraud.

Zukerberg’s former Palo Alto, CA 4-bedroom, 3-bath rental for $7,850 a month.

This college terrace nearing Stanford University features hardwood floors, a family room and a remodeled kitchen space with a wine rack. There is a washer and dryer on the second floor, wood burning fireplace, and a two-car detached garage. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and pets are negotiable. Double French doors, a concrete patio, stainless steel grill and hammock, a Juliette balcony on the second level are also included in this 2,350-square-foot apartment.

The tech tycoon and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan, whom he met back in college before his Facebook fame, occupied the home for less than two years.
